Buy Medieval Dresses - From Princess Dresses to Leather Dresses

The term medieval dress immediately evokes the idea of the fair maiden, the perkily tap maid and other medieval romanticism. It's true. In the European Middle Ages, dresses were what women wore, almost without exception. There are styles of dresses during the 1000 years of the Middle Ages without end. A dress is a central part of medieval women's garments, and the style reveals much about its wearer. Is it a velvet dress? Then the lady will be of rank, perhaps the wife of a merchant? Is it over and over jeweled? Then you might even have a noble court lady or a princess in front of you. If it is torn and a coarse linen dress or cotton dress is the wearer most likely a farmer's wife or even a female beggar.

How the medieval dress was worn.

A medieval dress was often worn in two layers. There was an underdress, the so-called chemise or shift. Over this a medieval woman wore the upper dress which was waisted mostly by a narrow belt.

With us you will find a range of exquisite fantasy dresses for medieval festivals or Larp events. Of course there are also authentic medieval dresses, but our range also goes from baroque or renaissance dresses, to fantasy cuts. Even the one or other Western dress is to be found here.

Larp Dresses & Gothic Leather Dresses at Andracor

From our leather workshop there are also Larp dresses made of the finest suede leather, handmade in Berlin! These can be waisted perfectly by their side lacing. They are normally intended as a dress in need of an underdress, but can also be worn on bare skin for barbarians and scoundrel women who prefer less clothes for whatever reason, since they are vegetable tanned. The cuts of the Andracor dresses are universally fantastic and fit many characters, for example as an elf dress, dress for dwarven wemon or as a base for a pirate outfit. Also in the Gothic fashion a Gothic dress made of leather is a real eye-catcher, many Gothic dresses are inspired by medieval dresses and you will find some black dresses for Gothic here for sure.

The Princess Costume - In Dress for Medieval Wedding

A splendid medieval dress makes the most beautiful day of life even more awesome for fans of the Middle Ages or fantasy. As a Middle Ages wedding dress, not every normal dress is suitable, of course. Here at least the dress of a princess or lady has to be chosen for the bride. More simple medieval dresses are reserved for the guests of a medieval wedding. Here you will find pompous dresses worthy of a bride. Our princess dresses are of high quality and leave no doubt who the lady is that belongs to the groom.
