Our Medieval Shop at Andracor

Here at Andracor, the Middle Ages is of course the historical age par excellence when it comes to archetypes for a wide range of Larp representations and characters and medieval equipment to buy. Whether knight or crusader, beggar or monk, barmaid or witch, there is an almost endless list of archetypes for role-playing or medieval representations that can be equipped with our medieval assortment. However, it is important to remember that the era commonly referred to as the Middle Ages lasted for approximately 1000 years. Between approx. 500 and 1500 AD, there was a strong development in all areas of human life and virtually nothing in the way of rules and clichés applied to the entire Middle Ages. Neither the classic knight's armour nor the knight's sword always looked the same, but developed and changed very significantly. Nothing in society remained unchanged either. Witch hunts, for example, are actually much more part of the Renaissance and modern times after the 15th century than they could be attributed to the Middle Ages, unlike the one or other crusade.

Whether it's the historical Middle Ages or the fantasy of them, we at Andracor want to enable you to find your very own approach to the Middle Ages and that's why we offer a wide range of different medieval garments, medieval armour, medieval accessories and other goods. Whether you want to create a Templar knight with Templar cloak and Templar tabard, or a simple monk with his monk's habit. We offer you all this and more. We also try to help those who want to narrow down their search for their medieval outfit and so you can filter specifically by Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages. For example, if you want to buy a coherent Viking garment or are looking for late medieval plate armour, this will certainly help you to get an overview of different eras within the Middle Ages.

Medieval times in Larp - Medieval Costumes for Larp

Medieval costumes can only be worn rarely, but there are occasions when you can walk through the streets in a medieval costume. At a medieval market, for example, or at a Larp. These events revive the Middle Ages, or at least a romantic to fantastic idea of them. The Middle Ages are a fascinating epoch that lasted for almost a millennium and many legends and sagas have grown up around them. We have a wide range of different medieval costumes. For example, a damsel costume, or costumes for knights, mercenaries and warriors. But also noblemen and women and simple medieval people will find a garment here.

For a typical live role-playing game or Larp, a medieval fantasy setting is the most frequently played background or genre. The fascination of the Middle Ages with its wars, with its heroic epics of noble knights in dark forests full of monsters and villains, has inspired many a writer and most fantasy literature is set in a medieval background, at least in the broadest sense. Whether Tolkien with his stories about the Lord of the Rings, the Warhammer universe, or the classic D&D role-playing game worlds: our Middle Ages are everywhere. Many Larpers use fantasy backgrounds that contain many borrowings from the historical Middle Ages. A trend within Larp called Historic Larp focuses primarily on a historically accurate representation of the Middle Ages and other epochs and is enjoying rapidly growing popularity within the Larp community.

Medieval Market & Knight Events - Not to be confused with Larp

The medieval market is a gathering of travelling traders who usually hold a market in the open air either in or around a medieval site. Due to these circumstances, the medieval market usually takes place in the spring to autumn months, but medieval markets at Christmas are now also becoming increasingly popular. Many medieval markets organise so-called knights' games, i.e. tournaments of knights to entertain the public.
The medieval boom of the last few years has led to an ever-increasing range of medieval activities. The medieval trend is also partly coming from the Gothic and Larp scene. In Larps, the Middle Ages are brought to life by playing self-created characters, whereas the gothic scene mainly incorporates spiritual and fashionable elements of the Middle Ages into its real life. But many of the medieval fans see the Middle Ages more as a hobby and let themselves be carried away by the fascination of this time without it being an actively lived out part of their lives. For these people, the Medieval Market is the perfect environment. There is no obligation to dress up in medieval costumes as in Larp at medieval markets, but dressed-up people are always welcome there and sometimes even get free admission.
