Our Andracor muscle cuirass is modeled after ancient examples and is handcrafted in Berlin. The torso is made of approx. 2 mm thick armour-grade leather, while the shoulders are crafted from at least 3.5 mm thick top-grain leather.

A six-pack without the gym? No problem! Even the ancient Romans had their tricks. The Lorica Musculata, or muscle cuirass, is a rather characteristic example of ancient armour. It was primarily used by high-ranking officers, such as the centurions of the Roman legions, to radiate authority and power. The first muscle cuirasses, however, appeared back in ancient Greece. Alexander the Great was often depicted in a white muscle cuirass. Julius Caesar took decadence a step further and wore his in gold! Our muscle cuirass, however, is available in black and brown, as not everyone is the ruler of a vast empire.

The cuirass is fastened with 6 buckles, allowing it to be extremely individually adjusted to each wearer. The shoulder segments can also be detached via lacing holes. The torso can be ideally combined with the matching segmentata shoulders and a loincloth with pteruges to perfect the Roman style.

The shoulder collar is modeled on Roman Segmentata shoulders; it is designed to allow maximum freedom of movement in LARP battles. The collar is attached to the muscle cuirass with leather cords but can also be worn separately, as it is well-secured by the four arm straps. It can also be worn perfectly over a chainmail shirt or attached to other armor with lacing holes on the torso.
