The shield blank consists of foam completely covered with robust cotton canvas. The canvas surface is excellent for painting with acrylic or tinting paint. The finished, painted shield is also much more durable than classic, latex-covered LARP shields. Especially sunlight or latex rot are completely eliminated as "shield killers"!

The structure of the blanks is stable enough to allow various grip suspension options. For example, we offer matching leather grips that can be tied to the shield. Of course, other methods also work, such as gluing wooden or plastic plates and attaching grips to them.
