• FITTING: To correctly measure the circumference of the head, place the measuring tape firmly but not too tightly around the head - over the front of the forehead bumps and over the widest point at the back. Bring the tape measure together at the temple and read off the value there.
• SHAPE: If the top hat does not fit perfectly, cork or fabric strips can be inserted into the edge of the foldable hat leather to ensure an individual fit.

CARE: Store in a dry place away from dust. We recommend storing the cylinder in its unfolded state, as this relieves the strain on the folding mechanism and will keep it fully functional for many years.

The folding cylinder was developed in the 19th century to make it easier for the gentleman of the world to store this valuable but bulky accessory. The top hat can be folded with a flick of the wrist - or rather hand pressure - and opens with the typical "click" as soon as the brim is struck.
