Latex Applications for LARP and Fantasy Cosplay
There are many characters in LARP that aren't hu
man: elves, orcs, cat-like beings, lizard-people, zombies, demons, dwarves, vampires, werewolves, trolls; the list goes on. All of these creatures have a number of characteristic body traits that distinguish them fundamentally from humans. For example, elves have pointed ears, whilst orcs have roughened faces with often pig-like tusks and noses. But how can you achieve this in LARP?
With latex applications of course! These are cast or foamed pieces of latex that can be attached directly to the skin by using a skin adhesive called
mastix (made of natural resins). The adhesive is quite long-lasting and therefore very well suited to larp events. The adhesive can also be removed quickly and residue-free with plenty of warm water or our
mastix remover.
You can also apply make-up to the latex pieces either before or after affixing them, we recommend using our
LARP make-up.
But what are all the different possibilities for your character?
"Lend me your ears!" - Elf and Orc Ears
Latex ears are the classic way to transform yourself. Elves, orcs, goblins, trolls, hobbits, fairies and fauns are all characterized by their typical pointed ears. Pointed ears are very noticeable, which makes it easy for others to recognize that your character is non-human. We have a wide range of pointed ears available, for all genres and tastes!
"What smells so good?" - Latex Noses for Werewolves, Witches and Creatures
Nose applications are a great way to alter the appearance of your face, that applies to human characters too. An ugly witch's nose will turn any beauty into an old biddy! But there's also the possibility of an even more dramatic transformation, like a beast's snout for a werewolf or a cat being.
"Argh, that hurt already!" - Latex Wounds for Larpers
Oh my God! That cut was deep! The healer barely dealt with it and now you have a nasty wound! With our
latex wounds, you can show this very convincingly. Crude cuts, rotting zombie wounds, or horrid scars; show everyone that you've been through some hard fights. Our latex wounds can also be combined with a bandage before battle or be applied to piece of cloth when performing as a healer.
"Devilishly good!" - Attaching Horns
"Excuse me, but there's something growing out of your head..." Has a magical experiment gone wrong? Latex horns always look impressive with some creatures having characteristic horns; fauns and demons for example. You can find our selection of horns
here.
For a complete transformation - Latex Masks for Larpers
Sometimes single latex parts are not enough to portray a character convincingly. For anyone who really wants to go to the max, we have a range of masks for the ultimate transformation. This effect definitely leaves an impression, be it for a realistic witch, an orc, a rotting zombie, or a skeleton warrior; with these latex masks a really cinematic appearances can be achieved.
