Medieval Clothing & Garments for LARP, Medieval Festivals & Reenactment
A medieval costume for live role-playing games and re-enactments must always be accompanied by contemporary dress or clothing. The epoch or setting determines the look of your clothes and contributes greatly to the ambience and the feeling of "fitting into the time". Be it medieval knights, baroque noblemen or ladies of the Rennaissance, they all have their historical style and their fashionable peculiarities and, depending on the choice of costume, you are quickly moved into a certain category or group. Of course, there are also fantastic costumes that are only loosely inspired by historical clothes and especially in LARP you can encounter elfs, orcs and other fabulous characters who have their unique style. Elven clothing is finely crafted, very well-balanced and often ornamented, while orcs are more likely to have rough and worn out clothes. In any case, clothing expresses a whole lot and especially in live role-playing it is important to be quickly recognisable. A pirate character will surely enjoy a three-pointed one and a knight will search for a tabbard and both will help to recognize them as such.
However, there is also something like a "basic garment", clothing that can be used in many contexts and character concepts. Plain trousers, linen shirts and tunics, solid leather boots, to name but a few. After all. in the role-playing field it's also about getting a quite flexible assortment of "wardrobe", especially when you're on the road as a non-player NPC.
Our medieval clothing shop here at Andracor therefore offers a variety of very different garments, ranging from special clothes to simple, always usable basic parts. An essential criterion for us is besides appearance and functionality, also the material of the clothing. Visually, a garment can look beautiful, but if it is made of polyester it is simply unsuitable for use in LARP. That's why we only offer clothing made of cotton, wool or leather - also because we think it makes the LARP hobby a bit more authentic. Honestly, who likes polyester on their skin on hot summer days?!
We also produce some of our garments ourselves: Our leather workshop produces LARP garments made of suede and armor grade leather, which are specially designed for the LARP everyday life as basic clothing for a variety of characters which can be very beautifully customized.
From historical to fantastic - Steampunk Clothes, Pirate Costumes & Historic Clothing
The genre in which a role-playing event takes place is very individual. In addition to the classic fantasy setting, there are now also steampunk, orient, or extremely historical influences and trends for example. Here we want to simplify the search for the right clothes with our genre filter. You can get inspired quickly and easily if you are looking for clothes for a special topic. This function is also very helpful for orc and elf players to get a quick overview. And for all those who don't want to search through history books for contemporary images, we also have the possibility to filter by antiquity, Vikings, medieval and Renaissance & early modern epochs.
Larp garments for everyone - whether large or small
Of course, live role-playing is a fascinating hobby for young and old, and even the little Larper can find medieval clothes for children to match the adults. For us, dressing for children has the same claim as for adults, because the little ones also romp about in their clothes for days.
Logically, not every live role-player is as thin as a leaf. That is why we have also provided for plus-size garments. Medieval clothes in large sizes you can find here and our corsets are very individually adaptable to every belly, chest and hip circumference.
And in addition to our medieval clothing for men, there are also sections dedicated to women's clothing.
Medieval Clothing for Women - Medieval Dresses & Medieval Costumes
A dress for the maiden! Dresses are simply beautiful to represent ladies of the court or noble characters. Our medieval ladies' clothing also includes a wide range of fine bodices and corsets to impressively represent a Western Saloon lady as well as a barmaid or hard-boiled pirate girl.
Our own leather workshop also offers suede bodices and skirts made of suede, which can be individually adjusted to your wearer thanks to their lacing.
